Venice Community Resources:
Sarasota County Government Building
Where do I get my new driver’s license in Venice? Where do I register my cars? Venice is in Sarasota County, and many things such as driver’s licenses and car registration are handled down at the County Building. The Robert L Anderson Administration building is located on 4000 S. Tamiami Trail. It’s much more convenient to go here rather than anywhere up in Sarasota to handle county business, utilities, etc.

Venice City Hall
Located in downtown Venice at 401 W. Venice Avenue (between downtown and the beach) is Venice City Hall. This is where official town business is attended to and their website has a ton of really helpful local resources for you if you are new to town.
Socializing & Fun
For many of us, getting outdoors and being active can be fun. Or just going out to one of our favorite tiki bars and restaurants around town (definitely bookmark this blog post)! But if you are looking to make some new friends and get involved in the community, below are some great options you may like.
Venice Community Center
The Venice Community Center is a 45,000 square foot facility that regularly hosts events and activities for the public as well as rentable space for private events. In particular, check out their concert series and holiday events during certain times of the year. They also offer plenty of recreational, educational, and social activities as well.
Venice Newcomers Club
If you are new to the area and really want to meet other people and go out and do fun things together, then you definitely want to check out the Venice Newcomers Club! This is a wonderful club to join where you can meet people from all over who have recently moved to Venice (within the last couple years). They regularly get together for events and activities, such as dinners and even kayaking adventures! There is a fee for membership, but it’s nominal and you’ll have access right away to a great network of people just like you!
